Strategic Development Lead, Adhesives

The Opportunity

As Strategic Development Lead, you will play a key role in accelerating Trinseo's growth in adhesive applications across EMEA. Acting as a key interface between customers and Trinseo's commercial, technical, marketing, and innovation organizations, you will leverage your expertise in adhesive technologies, applications, and markets to identify growth opportunities, drive commercialization of new solutions, support portfolio development, and help shape Trinseo's long-term strategy in adhesives. This highly visible and versatile role combines customer management, technical expertise, application development, business development, portfolio strategy, and strategic project leadership. You will serve as the voice of the customer within Trinseo and the voice of Trinseo towards the customer, helping translate market needs into business opportunities, new applications, and portfolio development initiatives.

• Business Development & Market Expansion – Identify and develop new business opportunities, drive commercialization of new products, support market expansion, and strengthen Trinseo's position in adhesive applications.
• Customer & Commercial Leadership – Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers while developing new business opportunities. Build strong relationships across all levels of customer organizations and act as a trusted advisor combining technical and commercial expertise.
• Technical Leadership & Application Development – Provide deep technical expertise in adhesive technologies and applications, support customer trials and application development, and help customers implement innovative solutions.
• Portfolio Development & Strategic Projects – Support the continued development of Trinseo's adhesive portfolio, with a focus on pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA), tapes, labels, packaging, and related applications. Lead or contribute to selected strategic growth initiatives, partnerships, and business development projects.
• Cross-Functional Leadership – Act as the primary interface between customers and Trinseo's Sales, R&D, Technical Service, Product Management, and Marketing teams.
• Coaching & Organizational Development – Mentor and support junior team members while helping to build and strengthen adhesive expertise across the organization.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience within the adhesives industry or closely related markets. Strong application and market understanding.
• Demonstrated combination of technical and commercial experience.
• Proven track record of business development, commercialization of new products and applications, and driving growth.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen.
• Outstanding customer engagement and relationship-building skills. Ability to communicate effectively with technical, commercial, operational, and executive stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel internationally as required to support customer engagement, business development activities, technical projects, and growth initiatives. Expected travel commitment of up to 40%.
