Global Quality System Technologist

Global Quality System Technologist is a gatekeeper of the Coding process. In this role the responsible employee is leading the Coding documentation process from the start through to full Material (GMID) Coding ensuring the right balance is met between high speed to market, customer satisfaction and diverse compliances.

Correct Materials Management and Specification Management ensures that for new and/or adjusted Raw Materials and Products all the necessary steps are completed by all functions (Quality, R&D, TS&D, Supply Chain, Production, EH&S, Accounting and Procurement) to buy raw materials and produce / sell products within the boundaries of legal compliance and (automotive) customer expectations.

Next to Raw Material & Product coding this resource would also cover overflow and back-up for Maintenance Master Data administration in SAP for approx. 25% of their time. In that additional role you are to create, maintain and validate maintenance master data (e.g. equipment, functional locations, maintenance views, task lists, bills of materials, and related attributes).

• Lead creation of new products and raw materials through the documentation process.
• Create/Change/Discontinue Specifications and Recipes in SRR (Specification and Recipe Repository).
• Perform the required transactions to link the SAP-QM module to SRR and to LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) to ensure proper generation of Certificates of Analysis.
• Create and maintain certificate profiles as well as quality information, following specification changes.
• Coordinate with various functions to resolve bottlenecks in the Material documentation process.
• Being responsible for timely and accurate entry of Material Master Data by providing the Business with the appropriate Material codes.
• Facilitate the Material Code Request process for create, change, discontinue and reactivate requests.

• Being a flexible self-starter, willingness to back-up or assist other team members.
• Detail oriented with high work process discipline. Pragmatic.
• Experience with SAP and more specifically Quality System Architecture is a plus.
• Strong written & verbal English skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills being able to work cross-functionally.
