Sustainability Procurement Specialist

Sustainability is the leading trends in our markets. While in some markets, it is not yet fully defined, in others, like Packaging, it has been regulated by authorities to force a transformation towards a circular economy. Other markets like Automotive, Building & Construction will follow in the coming years. Growing our position in recycling is a must in order to achieve our 2030 sustainability goals and to maintain our position in the market with our customers. Hence moving towards the use of more sustainable advantaged raw materials is a great opportunity to decrease our environmental footprint, but also requires the creation of a completely new value chain, different from the typical linear Petrochemical chain that we’ve always known.

The sustainability procurement specialist will drive our feedstock sourcing efforts both internally and externally all Trinseo materials subject to Trinseo's 3 advanced recycling platforms, with the guidance of the Global Sustainability Business Development Leader.

The Sustainability Procurement Specialist will be as well Trinseo subject matter expert in sustainability certifications such as ISCC+ and Recyclas, making sure that Trinseo businesses and sites have a go-to person for insight, audit preparation and benchmark of different possibilities available in the market.

Main missions of sustainability procurement specialist can be described as follows:

• Build a solid strategic roadmap for feedstock into Trinseo's 3 advanced recycling platforms - assisting the Sustainable Feedstock Sourcing Manager and Trinseo Heathland team - and with the guidance of the Global Sustainability Business Development Leader
• Develops strategic external relationships, with focus on players relevant for the advanced recycling business. Establish and execute sustainable sourcing contracts globally from end to end; market scouting, quality validation, implementation and follow-up.
• Develop and maintain tools to map suppliers’ capacities, pricing and Trinseo sustainability goals execution. Support on ad-hoc administrative requirements
• Trinseo Subject Matter Expert (SME) on sustainability certifications (ISCC, Recyclas, etc.)

• Master in Chemistry / Bio Chemistry / Sustainability (Management) / Environmental Engineering or bio-material industry related field
• Open for junior profile
• Candidate to posses following skills: relationship builder, flexibility & creativity, works independently and on schedule, curious and creative, self-organized, self-motivation and problem-solving skills, fluent in english (written and oral) – another world language would be a plus.
