Role Overview:
The IT Business Partner, focused on Order to Cash and Supply Chain is the strategic relationship owner, primary point of contact, interface to senior functional leadership, and the IT lead for the global Supply Chain function – with an emphasis on supply chain planning, order to cash and the data that supports this function. This role will be the conduit through which Supply Chain priorities and needs are communicated and incorporated within the overall IT strategic and tactical action plan. This role is responsible for the intake, assessment and disposition of new capability requests as they relate to the Supply Chain function. This individual is also responsible for handling escalations of issues in Supply Chain planning tools and applications leveraged by Trinseo - which includes but is not limited to the S&OP process, Data Lake/Reporting and the integration into S/4HANA. This role should be outcome-driven, ensuring that technology is an enabler for the function and ultimately supports the function in their efforts to meet and exceed strategic objectives. This is a people management role.
This role can be based out of our EMEA offices in either Ireland, Netherlands or Germany.
· Serve as a trusted advisor to the global Supply Chain function, act as the primary point-of-contact and interface between the IT department and key stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of short- and long-term IT projects
· Represent Trinseo IT to the function, promoting the IT vision, value, services, and capabilities. They also act as an advocate on behalf of functional stakeholders to ensure IT services meet their priorities and needs.
· Partner with key functional stakeholders, Trinseo IT and vendor solution providers in the development of business/functional requirements, project plans, testing scripts, implementation plans and ensures that the design and implementation of IT solutions meets the functional needs.
· Help facilitate the user acceptance testing (UAT) or end-user testing on all applicable new solution development and system enhancement activities. Assists with problem analysis; escalates issues for additional review and resolution as applicable
· Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects, activities and tasks under time constraints; ensures project tasks are completed in a timely fashion
· The Business Partner analyzes supply chain and order to cash processes (e.g., planning and forecasting, inventory management, cost to serve, financials, production and raw material requirement planning, order to cash processes) and identifies process improvements and system enhancements / opportunities.
· Consults with various stakeholders both inside and outside of the Trinseo IT department on the newest technology trends and their broader implications within the Chemicals industry
· Partners with SAP Solution Architects in the development of technology roadmaps. Advises leadership about industry best practices, trends, and technology, which may influence the Trinseo IT strategy.
· This individual will be a people leader, with two IT Business Partners reporting to them, within the Supply Chain support function
· Bachelor's degree - Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or related field
· At least 15 years' experience with either IT processes, IT BP or business processes enabled by technology knowledge. Previous managerial experience of a small to midsized team is preferred. Understanding of SAP a plus.
· Diverse experience in multiple functional areas (e.g., Supply Chain management, business intelligence, vendor management, procurement, sales, payroll, procure-to-pay, customer-to-cash) and hands on experience in leading user acceptance testing
· Knowledge of project management techniques
· Exposure to third party ERP solutions (e.g., SAP) a plus
· Demonstrates hands-on knowledge of SDLC methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile)
· Manages ambiguity well. Has a global outlook and develops local expertise while operating effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
· Demonstrates strong listening, communications, alliance-building, negotiation, conflict management and influencing skills
